Drivers ignore texting laws say police

Since Jan. 1, 2010, all drivers in Saskatchewan have been prohibited from texting while behind the wheel.
However, the Prince Albert Police Service caught 21 people breaking that law on October 14th and 15th alone.
“When we can write 21 tickets in two days — and we’re not talking two full days when we go out there –I don’t think the message is getting through to the public,” said Sgt. Kelly McLean.
