Rate review panel recommends SaskEnergy rate reduction

The Saskatchewan Rate Review Panel is recommending a reduction in natural gas rates for SaskEnergy to take effect Nov. 1.

The panel agreed with SaskEnergy’s application request for a rate reduction made earlier this year.

Kathy Weber, the chair of the panel, says homeowners will be paying less on their bill for one year.

“The total impact for the average homeowner would be around $66.00 per year change from what it was last year,” said Weber.
