Homes are being built at a feverish pace across Saskatchewan, according to the latest numbers from the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC).
So far this year, there have been nearly twice as many homes built across the province than in 2009.
Leading the pack is Saskatoon which, since January, has seen a 95 per cent increase in single detached home starts. The foundations have been poured for an incredible 885 homes.
Regina has seen a less impressive increase, but an increase none the less. Home starts are up by 40 per cent.
Only two cities are building less than they did last year — Moose Jaw and Yorkton.
