Lenora Constance Vickers (nee Borsheim), age 94 years, of Mak Lodge in Prince Albert, SK.,  passed away peacefully with family at her side on Monday, January 29, 2018.  Lenora was born Wednesday, December 19, 1923 and was the youngest daughter of Conrad and Anna Borsheim who immigrated from Norway to homestead near Venn, SK.  Lenora had two siblings, a sister Helen and brother Leslie. After high school, Lenora completed her RN training in Prince Albert.  Then in 1946, she married Kenneth Vickers.  Throughout their marriage, there were numerous homes in a variety of locations in Canada and United States.  Lenora and Ken had two children, Brian and Karen. In 1970 Ken retired from the service and moved to the Prince Albert area: first Honeymoon, then Albertville and Candle Lake.  It was in 1982 that the little house on 19th Street became “Home sweet home.” Following Ken’s death in 1984, Lenora moved across the street into a condominium in Victoria Place where she resided until October 2014.  Lenora was passionate about Duplicate Bridge, the Saskatchewan Roughriders, music of all genres, and a good glass of wine with friends and family. When Lenora turned 90, she moved to Mak Lodge where she resided until her passing. Lenora will always be lovingly remembered by: her son, Brian (Linda) Vickers and his children, David (Eve) son Britton, Cicily (Kelsey Vandale) and daughter Jackson; her daughter, Karen (Gus) Detillieux and their children Ryan (son Haylow), Travis (Richelle) and son Zander; and her sister, Helen Teal. She was predeceased by her parents, Conrad & Anna Borsheim; her husband, Kenneth Vickers; her brother, Leslie (Gweneth) Borsheim; her brothers-in-law, John Alcock and Kelly Teal. The family would like to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to the Staff and owners of Mak Lodge, the 5th floor Nursing Staff at the Victoria Hospital, as well as Dr. R. Ardell.
