Rosie Hilda McLeod was born on Tuesday, August 13, 1963 in La Ronge, SK and passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 in Saskatoon, SK at the age of 53 years. Rosie is survived by her loving family: her husband on 26 years, Jacob McLeod; her children, Mary McLeod (Randall Merasty), Cecil McLeod, Jacob McLeod Jr. and April McLeod; her grandsons, Joey and Zach Merasty; his sisters, Charlotte Bernatchez (Brian), Emily McKenzie (Ahab), Elizabeth Charles (Joe), Ida Charles, Theresa Charles (Darcy) and Virginia Charles; her brothers, Isaac Charles (Jean), Adam Charles (Jean) and Wilson Charles; and her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Matthew McLeod (Jemima), Cecil McLeod (Sophie), Agnes McLeod, Rebecca Milrek (Tom), Rose Laban (Paul) and Marjorie Mahoney; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph William and Jane Betsy (nee Roberts) Charles; her brothers and sisters, Russell Charles, Eileen Richie (nee Charles) and 3 brothers and 3 sisters in infancy; her maternal and paternal grandparents; her nephews, Barney Charles, Kevin Richie, Jason Charles, Joey Charles and Leonard Charles; her nieces, Joanne McLeod and Lisa Charles; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Absolom and Barbara (nee McKenzie) McLeod; her brothers-in-law, Harry McLeod, Albert McLeod, Philip McLeod, Norman McLeod, Don Bernatchez and Peter McLeod; and her sister-in-law, Betsy Cook-McLeod. A wake service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, June 12, 2017 at Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Stanley Mission, SK. Rosie’s funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Stanley Mission, SK, Reverend Richard Custer and Reverend Elias Ballantyne officiating. Interment to follow at Stanley Mission Cemetery.
