Stanley acreage, where Colten Boushie died, for sale

Gerald Stanley is selling the acreage at the centre of his second degree murder trial.

The 150-acre Stanley property, located in the R.M. of Glenside, has been listed by Re/MAX since April at an asking price of $399,000.

The listing describes the property as an “excellent equine estate” featuring a 1,296 square foot bungalow, a double detached garage, metal shop and riding arena.

Colten Boushie, 22, was found on the acreage on Aug. 9, 2016 after being shot and killed.

Boushie’s friend, Eric Meechance, had alleged they and three others arrived to ask for help with a flat tire.

However, an RCMP information to obtain a warrant document unveiled in the fall indicated the group may have been involved with attempted thefts on other farms before arriving at the Stanley property.

No trial date has been set for Stanley, but Crown prosecutor Bill Burge suggested it could be as early as this fall.

Stanley will also appear in court in March on separate weapons charges.
