RCMP seize homemade taser in traffic stop turned drug bust

An 18-year-old male is facing a number of charges following a traffic stop on the Muskoday First Nation. A 17-year-old female was also arrested at the scene, but not charged. 

At roughly 11 p.m. on Jan. 1, police seized approximately 46 g of cocaine, 11 g of marijuana, a homemade taser and a machete.

Justin Glen Bear from Muskoday First Nation is charged with possession of cocaine for the purposes of trafficking, resisting arrest, assaulting a peace officer and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, among several other charges.

Bear also faces additional charges stemming from separate incidents. He appeared in Prince Albert provincial court Tuesday morning.
