Reaching out to addicts to combat crystal meth

To help curb the rise of crystal meth use in Prince Albert, addictions services is providing avenues for direct treatment.

Officers give business cards with direct lines to addictions services workers to those struggling with drug abuse.

Reaching out through direct lines fast-tracks addicts into the system Cory Rennie, interim manager at P.A. addictions services, said.

“To enable them to get the help they need, even if they never step in our door, that’s a success,” he said.
