Apr 11, 2016 | 11:09 AM

The girlfriend of the man accused of murdering Troy Napope in 2015 has been granted bail and is set to be released Monday, April 11.

Tristen Smith appeared and cried quietly in Prince Albert Provincial Court by video. A publication ban has been placed on the conditions of her bail.

She will next appear in court April 19 at 1:30 p.m.

Smith’s mother Candace Smith said Smith and Vermette were always good together.

“They took care of each other all the time, they were together 24/7. She never left his side ever, until this happened.”

Laurie Smith, a relative, said Smith is a good kid and “you can’t choose who you fall in love with, and she loves (him) passionately.”

Smith was pulled from a burning house along with Braidy Vermette, the escaped accused murderer of Troy Napope, on April 7.
