Volunteer firefighters extinguish semi-trailer fire

There is still no word on the cause of Monday morning’s semi-trailer fire on Highway 11.
According to a spokesperson with the Hamlet of MacDowall, they received the initial call around 6:17 a.m.
By 6:30 a.m., six members of the volunteer fire department were on scene.
By 7 a.m., 1,250 gallons of water had been pumped out. The crew then returned to the hamlet and refilled the tank.
