More charges have been laid against a former Saskatchewan Mountie who was already facing sexual assault charges in B.C.

Alan John Davidson is facing three counts of sexual assault against minor boys in Saskatchewan. The alleged incidents happened in the Yorkton area between 1987 and 1991 – during the time Davidson was posted there as an RCMP officer.

Last spring, RCMP laid charges against Davidson in relation to alleged incidents that happened in Clearwater, B.C. between 1976 and 1981. Davidson began his career as an RCMP officer in 1982, with the bulk of his time spent serving in Saskatchewan. He had also served as a minor hockey and baseball coach.

There were eight alleged victims – all boys – who had played for him while he was a coach in B.C. When the first charges were announced, there was no evidence of victims in Saskatchewan.
