UPDATE: Police seize cocaine during traffic stops

On Tuesday members of the Prince Albert Integrated Street Enforcement team initiated a traffic stop in the City of Prince Albert.

From the incident police seized roughly 434 grams of cocaine and arrested one person.

Twenty-year-old Keegan Venne of Prince Albert has been charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, as well as trafficking cocaine.

He made his first court appearance in Prince Albert Provincial Court Wednesday morning.

Only a day later on Jan. 30, members of the Prince Albert Integrated Street Enforcement team initiated a separate traffic stop in the city, which lead to the arrest of two more people. 

During the investigation police seized approximately 90 grams of cocaine.

Callaghan Michel, 27, of Prince Albert has been charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and trafficking cocaine.

He made his first court appearance Thursday morning in Prince Albert Provincial Court and will be making his next court appearance on Mar. 7.

The other person arrested was released with no charges.

Prince Albert Police said the two incidents are not related.
