Charges of breaking and entering and robbery have been laid against a 15-year-old boy from the Whitebear First Nation after a pregnant woman was assaulted back in June.

The teen is accused of breaking into the home of a 21-year-old woman and assaulting her.

According to RCMP, the woman suffered life-threatening injuries then delivered a baby girl despite her poor condition.

“The 21-year-old victim has been released from hospital, but the baby girl remains under medical care,” said RCMP Sgt. Paul Dawson.
