Regina hospitals teter on capacity

Oct 6, 2011 | 6:41 AM

Both Pasqua and General hospitals in Regina were pushing over capacity on Tuesday, in what is known as a “code burgandy”.

Executive director of emergency, EMS and ambulatory care Glen Perchie said it's been a problem for the last eight years.

“Right now there is no code burgandy at the general,” said the ED.

“We are still in code burgandy at the Pasqua.”

Perchie attributed the situation to an aging and growing population.
