Global trading was a major focus of the Council of the Federation, the annual premiers meeting that wrapped up Friday after three days.

Premier Brad Wall pointed to the growing Asian market, saying Saskatchewan's resources can open doors in those countries.

“We have a lot of natural resources, and agricultural products and innovation technology exchanges that are possible with China, Indian and Asia,” said Wall.

He said the exponential growth of the Asian market was discussed at the meeting.
