Prince Albert Chamber offers drive-thru option for rapid test pick-up

Nov 8, 2021 | 3:00 PM

Anyone in need of a COVID-19 rapid test kit can literally drive by the Prince Albert and District Chamber of Commerce building this week.

A drive-thru pick up option is being offered Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons, between the hours of 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.

CEO Patty Hughes said the chamber also wants to be more involved in the community, so they’ve partnered with the food bank.

“So we are asking when people are coming, just to bring a non-perishable food item and we will be collecting those and donating them to the food bank,” she said.

Hughes explained the chamber has a significant number of rapid test kits on hand and is expecting more to come.

“People are very interested and they just want to do their part making sure they are keeping everyone safe,” she said.

The Prince Albert Fire Department also has a supply of COVID-19 rapid tests available to the general public at no cost.

Anyone wishing to receive a test kit is asked to come by the Fire Station at 76 – 15th St. E. (Main Entrance, West Side). The kits are available Monday to Thursday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
