Don Cody – is seeking a third term as Ward 4 city councillor. Cody is a former business owner and long-serving politician with several decades of experience as an elected official at the municipal and provincial level. Cody says this experience will help the city recover from the COVID-19 pandemic. Reducing crime through strong support of the police, pushing for further economic development and expanding industries in Northern Saskatchewan are among his other top priorities.
Mira Lewis – is a national representative for the Canadian Union of Public Employees. Lewis says she has made a career out of advocating for people and is ready to advocate for the residents of Ward 4. If elected her priority will be addressing inequality while making smart financial choices. She plans to advocate for community-based solutions to poverty, homelessness and crime and push for better health care options and access to mental health supports. Job creation and community consultation are among her other of her priorities.
Margaret Duncombe – has worked at the municipal, regional and provincial levels in sport, culture, recreation and tourism. She also has experience in small business and the non-profit sector. Her platform includes investing in infrastructure, downtown revitalization, economic development, accessible and affordable programs and services for families, supporting the arts, and building the new recreation complex and hospital expansion.
