Charlene Miller – is seeking a fourth term as Ward 1 city councillor. Miller has worked for the Parkland Health Region for 24 years and is a proud long-time resident of the West Flat. She volunteers with several organizations and has organized an annual community clean-up in Ward 1 for the past nine years. Miller says she has worked to improve conditions in her ward and for a fairer distribution of funds and services throughout the city. She promises to continue to do so if re-elected.

Daniel Brown – a corrections officer and longtime resident of Ward 1, Daniel Brown believes he can bring positive change and new ideas to the table. He’s committed to have quarterly meetings with residents to hear their concerns and work with community partners like PAGC and West Flat Citizens Group. Brown would also like to implement a snow shoveling or lawn mowing scheme where youth could help seniors for an affordable fee.
