YVETTE ROY
(nee Langlois)
1924 – 2012
With heavy hearts we say goodbye to our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. Yvette passed away quietly at Good Shepherd Villas on Sunday, September 30, 2012 with her daughter by her side. Yvette was born on March 1, 1924 in St. Walburg. Her parents moved to Bellevue soon after her birth. Mom grew up in a loving, devout Catholic family which influenced the ideals she instilled in us. Yvette married Gerard on October 30, 1944. They spent their life together on the farm in Domremy. Mom loved her family, especially the little ones. Mom was the official hired hand (no pay, just hard work). She loved gardening, crocheting, knitting, sewing and quilting. Many evenings were spent playing cards with friends and family. She welcomed visitors with coffee and goodies. Yvette was predeceased by her husband Gerard, daughter Cecile, son-in-law Clement, brothers Leonard, Emanuelle, Camil, Abel, sisters Fernande and Aline. Yvette will be missed by her daughter Emma, son Paul (Connie), grandchildren Victor (Maureen), Marc (Margaret), Sheri (Blaine), Noel, Christopher, Sheena, great-grandchildren Terri, Robin, Leslie (Duane), Joanne, Stacey, Christine, Skye (Darren), Jordyn, great-great-grandchildren Payton, Kealie, Abbie, Kohlby, Piper. Memorial Service will be held at River Park Memorial Chapel, 301 River Street West, Prince Albert at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 4. Father Matthew will officiate. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to their charity of choice. Interment will take place in the Garden of the Old Rugged Cross, Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of Colette Kadziolka – Funeral Director.
