It is with great sadness, the family of WT (Bill) Krywulak announces his sudden passing at his home on June 7, 2019.
Dad was born Wasyl Taras on February 23, 1941 in Parkerview, SK (near Ituna). His family later moved to Nipawin where he attended school and graduated from high school. Dad was working as a surveyor for the Department of Agriculture in Leader when he met our Mom (Audrey). They were married in Swift Current on July 1, 1966 and four kids soon followed. In 1973 our family moved from Swift Current to Prince Albert where Dad worked for the Department of Highways for 21 years. After retiring from Highways in 1994, Dad began his ‘retirement project’ at Ruszkowski Enterprises and worked as an Estimator for another 24 years before actually retiring just last year. Dad truly enjoyed his work and all the people he worked with. He worked extremely hard his entire life but always made time to spend with his family. He coached all us kids in one sport or another whether it be hockey, soccer or ball. He especially loved coaching Greg and Jason’s hockey teams. Later when Jason played WHL hockey, both Dad and Mom travelled extensively to watch Jason play. Dad was happiest in his favourite place – his home. Whether he was sitting in his backyard having a cold one, tending to his garden or building a special wood project in his garage for his family, this is where he truly loved to be. Dad showed tremendous strength and courage after we suddenly lost our beautiful Mom/Baba in 2006 and stayed strong until his last day for his family. We all knew this wasn’t easy for him but Family was everything to him.
Dad is proudly survived by his loving children Mickelle (Brad) Eybersen, Heather Krywulak, Greg (Rienne) Krywulak, and Jason (Tascha) Krywulak; and his beloved grandchildren, Erin & Evalyn Eybersen and Taras & Sofia Krywulak. Nothing brought Dad more joy these last years than having his four grandchildren in Gido’s house playing together. They will miss their Gido so much. We will all deeply miss spending time with Dad/Gido at his home of almost 42 years on Wyllie Crescent. Dad will also be sadly missed by his sisters Ann Puszkarenko and Mary (Bill) Pihowich, and his brothers-in-law Dave (Sherry) Johnston and Harvey Sundholm; plus numerous nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends.
In lieu of tributes memorial donations may be directed to the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation, #1 – 345 3rd Ave S, Saskatoon, SK S7K 1M6, or to the Victoria Hospital Foundation ( in memory of Bill and Audrey Krywulak) 1200 24th Street W, Prince Albert, SK, S6V 5T4.
It gives us some peace to know that Dad is once again with his beloved wife and our cherished Mom, Audrey. May they both Rest in Peace. Love Always & Forever.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am, on Thursday, June 13, 2019, at Carlton Park Community Club, 3100 Dunn Dr, Prince Albert, SK.
