William “Bill” Lewis Mitchell, late of Prince Albert passed away peacefully Sunday, October 28, 2012 at 3:40 a.m. at the Victoria Hospital, surrounded by close family and friends. During his passing, his wife Sandra was by his side along with their friend Kathy. William was born on June 26, 1948 in Winnipeg, MB and resided in Landsdowne House, ON with his dad William Lewis Mitchell and his mother Rhea Mitchell; two siblings John and Patricia until the unexpected death of his dad in 1962. The family relocated to Prince Albert to be near his mother’s parents Mr. & Mrs. Vezeau. Bill was employed by the Thompson, Esterhazy and Lanigan Mines. He tried various types of employment and suffered many years of illness and a very long battle with MS. Bill is survived by his wife Sandra (nee Ferguson) Mitchell whom he reunited with in 1996 and married in 1999; his three step-children Cara, Angie, David; his three step-grandchildren Brody, Emily, Teagon; his daughter Lynn Otto (Darcy) of Prince Albert; his three grandchildren Katlyn, Douglas, Ashley; from a previous marriage Bill had three children located in other provinces Michelle, Colleen and son William (named after Bill); several grandchildren and cousins. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 4 from the Apostolic Church, 717 MacArthur Drive. Pastor Ivan Brewer will officiate. Interment of cremated remains will take place at Prince Albert Memorial Gardens at a later date. It is the family’s request that those wishing to place memorials may do so to the MS Society.
