William (Bill) Heleta was born on January 24, 1940 at the Red Cross Hospital in Paddockwood.  Bill was the eldest of 6 siblings and attended school in Begin.  Bill had several jobs up north and around Paddockwood before taking on the family farm which was his true passion.  He married Christine on August 5, 1967 and together they raised 3 children.  Dad enjoyed watching the Blue Jays, Roughriders and in the wintertime curling.  He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, going to look for blueberries and mushrooms, visiting and playing cards with family and friends, and his garden.  William “Bill” Heleta is survived by his daughter: Valerie Heleta and her children Colby (Jenn) and Raeanna (Caine) and great-grandson Ryder; his son Calvin (Edna) and their children Andrew, Melanie and Nicholas; his daughter Trudy Heleta; his sister Sophie Jones and his brothers Harry (Florence) and John (Cheryl).  He was predeceased by his wife Christine Heleta (2008); his great-grandson Oliver Ironstand (Heleta); his parents Fredrick and Nettie Heleta; his 2 sisters Marion Heleta and Irene Moody; his father and mother-in-law Harry and Victoria Toporowski.  Prayer Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 27, 2015.  Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 28, 2015.  Both services will be held at Gray’s Funeral Chapel, 575 – 28th Street West, Prince Albert, SK with Reverend Chris Dow officiating.  In lieu of other tributes, memorial donation may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, PO Box 12013 Stn BRM B, Toronto, ON M7Y 2L3.  Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca.  Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gray’s Funeral Chapel, (306-922-4729).
