William George Brasnett
May 1, 1922 – May 2, 2011
William “Bill” George Brasnett born in Swift Current to Winifred (Pescud) and Hedley George Brasnett, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 2, 2011 at the Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert at the age of 89. He is survived by his loving wife Phyllis. He will be deeply missed by his daughters Judi (Hans) and Linda (John); his son Rick (Laurie); Phyllis’s sons Lee (Sandra) and Terry (Cheryl); as well as one sister Dorothy Preston of Richmond BC and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a World War II veteran who served his country with distinction being awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross. After the war, he trained as an accountant that led him to jobs in Swift Current, Saskatoon, LaRonge and Prince Albert. He had many hobbies and interests. He loved building model airplanes, boating and fishing, and carpentry, but his greatest passion was golf. He was an active member of the Cooke Golf and Country Club where he made many wonderful and lasting friends. A private family service will be held. Interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations can be made to Charity of Donor’s Choice. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca.
