William "Bill" Mathew Kolsteren

April 11, 1924 – June 27, 2014
Bill was born in Schiedam, Holland and moved to Canada with his wife Hendrika “Ricka” and his son William “Billy”, two daughters Hendrika ” Riekie” and Fija in 1959. He had two sons born in Canada, Anthony “Tony” and Gerald. Bill was predeceased by his wife Ricka; two sons Billy and Tony; his grandson Eric Kolsteren and by his son-in-law Dwayne Schwab. Bill worked at the Saskatchewan Penitentiary until his retirement. Bill was known to many for his hobbies from motor homes, campers, weather vanes, glass etchings, leatherwork, and egg carving. Bill was a member of the Fish and Game League and enjoyed many years of camping. He was on the board for the Credit Union and a member of the Legion. Bill leaves to mourn his son Gerald Kolsteren of Edmonton, AB; daughters Riekie Bergmann of King City, ON and Fija Schwab of Lacombe AB; grandchildren; Jared, Nic, Amanda, Jason, Daisy, Chris, Justin, Mark, Devin, and Damion; great-grandchildren Shannon Julie Austin Lucas and Isaac, and his companion friend Beth. Celebration of Bills Life will be held in Lacombe Alberta with interment to follow at South Hill Cemetery, Prince Albert, SK. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca.
