William "Bill" Harrison

William “Bill” Bradshaw Harrison was born on April 24th, 1938, in San Mateo, California. He passed away in his beloved home in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan on April 22nd, 2019. He is survived by his son: Dr. William Kenneth Harrison (Amanda) of Regina, Saskatchewan and his granddaughter, Teighlor Fiddler of Regina, Saskatchewan; his sister: Beverly Berg (nee Harrison) of Norway; his brother-in-law, Rod Adams (Marie) of Toronto and their family Lori and her children: Joseph(Natasha) and Jenna Charles; Jeff (Nicole) and their children: Shannon and Sean; Melanie (Kevin), and their children: Reilly and Kaiden; his brother-in-law: Lorne Adams (Debby) and their children: Lindy (Jordan) and Nicole (Travis); his step-brother Richard Harrison (Linda); and his children from his first marriage: his daughter Lavina Jean Howard (Michael) and their family Cynthia, Alexander, and Christina; his daughter Lynnette Mae Collard (Rick), and their family Joel (Laura) and Josh (Leanna); and his son William Leighton Harrison (Tina). He was predeceased by his loving wife Sheila Harrison; his parents William Bradshaw Harrison (Brad) and Lavina Velma Mae Harrison (nee Hicks); his parents-in-law Ken and Anne Adams; his brother-in-law, Ole Fredrik Berg; and his nephew, Tim Adams.
Bill had a very exciting and varied life. He was born in San Mateo, California, but moved to Duncan BC in his adolescence. In BC he worked in a number of different ventures, including operating an electronics store, working as a bush pilot, leading fishing charters, and also working as a scuba diver for the RCMP. He obtained his Power Engineer’s Diploma, and started working in the Pulp and Paper industry. He moved to Prince Albert in the late 1960’s to help start up the new Pulp Mill in the area. He worked there until 1990, and then started to work for SIAST as a Power Engineering Instructor. He was proud to have obtained his 1st Class Power Engineering Diploma prior to his retirement. He retired in 2002, where he spent his time enjoying his beautiful home on the North Saskatchewan River with his wife.
A Private Celebration of Bill’s Life will be held at Beau “Lac” Funeral Home. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations may be made to the SPCA, 1125 North Industrial Drive, Prince Albert, SK, S6V 5T1.
