With sadness, the family of Willard Ahenakew announces that he passed away at the age 80 years on Saturday, December 7, 2019 with his family by his side. Willard was born on March 17, 1939 to Edwin and Edith (nee: Peekeekoot) Ahenakew.

The wake service for Willard will begin at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at the Ahtahkakoop First Nation Band Hall.  The funeral service will start in the same location at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 with Bishop Tom Morgan, Bishop Adam Halkett and Sam Halkett officiating. Interment will be in St. Mark’s Anglican Cemetery.
