Wayne Tilden Johnson

It is with great sadness that the family of Wayne Tilden Johnson announces his peaceful passing in the early morning hours of Sunday, April 6, 2014 at his home. He was born an only child on November 27, 1932 in Prince Albert, SK. He was predeceased by his parents Victor and Mildred (nee Christopherson) Johnson, who farmed in the Steep Creek area. Wayne took the course of Agriculture at the University of Saskatchewan. He met his wife Iris Hnatiuk and they were married on October 30, 1954, together raising three sons. Wayne and Iris farmed in the Steep Creek area with his parents. Wayne will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered by his wife Iris of 59½ years; his sons Bruce, Dale (Vicki) and Gary (Beth); his grandchildren Nicole, Bradley and Corey (Hailey); his great-grandchildren Maxwell and Charlee. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 14 from the Prince Albert Alliance Church, 2777 – 6 Avenue West. Diane McDuff and Pastor Craig Hollands will officiate. Interment of cremated remains will take place at a later date in the Steep Creek Cemetery. It is the family’s request that anyone wishing to make memorial donations may do so to the Kidney Foundation of Saskatchewan or to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
