Dad grew up on the family ranch just outside of Duck Lake in a large family of 6 brothers and 3 sisters. They raised cows and horses all of their lives and that is what Dad loved to do.
He attended school in Dorval (Duck Lake area) where he attended until grade 8 at which time he left to help on the family farm.
He married the love of his life, Emilie on May 20, 1963 in Duck Lake where they lived most of their life raising 5 children. They moved to their acreage in 1983 where Dad kept busy raising cattle and doing a lot of custom hay cutting and baling, etc…..
Dad took pride in all his hard work and instilled in all of us the meaning of hard work, honesty and respectfulness to everyone.
Dad looked forward to all our get togethers at the farm for Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter and any other reason to be together for some good card games and drinks.
To everyone who stopped by the farm for a visit, a meal, a drink, Dad always loved those visits.
In 2009, due to Dad’s health, they moved to MacDowell, where Mom still lives. Dad was in long-term care since August 2010, first at the Herb Bassett Home for a very short period. He spent the rest of his time at Mont St Joseph’s for the last 10 years, where he received the best care ever.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions a Private Service will be held.
A very special Thank You to all the wonderful staff at Mont St Joseph’s for all their care and compassion for Dad while that was his home.
Donations in Warren’s memory may be made to the Mont St Joseph’s Foundation – 777 28th Street East, Prince Albert, SK S6V 8C2, or the Parkinson’s Society of Saskatoon – 2103 Airport Dr #110B, Saskatoon, SK S7L 6W2.
