Walter Kowdrysh

Walter Kowdrysh – late of Prince Albert, SK formerly of Yellow Creek, SK passed away on August 5, 2013 at the age of 81 years. Walter was born near Cudworth, Saskatchewan on November 27, 1931 to John and Annie Kowdrysh. Walter loved farming and flying; was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife of 58 years: Vera; three daughters: Carol, Bev (Dwayne, Natalie), and Sherry (Karl, Kelsey, Sydney); two sons: Walter Jr. and Dan (Taylor, Cody); brothers: Nick and Fred; sisters: Katie (Neville) and Frances (Marcel); brother-in-law: Steve Chubak; sister-in-law: Mary Cathie and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents: John and Annie; his sister: Josephine Chubak; his sisters-in-law: Marie Kowdrysh and Ann Kowdrysh and his parents-in-law: John & Justine Hrynewich. Prayers will be held at St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church 1505 – 13th Street West on Thursday, August 8, 2013 at 7:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, August 9, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Travis Myrheim officiating. Graveside service will follow at Our Lady of Seven Sorrows Cemetery, Fishing Lake, SK.
