May 13, 1953 – June 27, 2014

It is with great sadness that the family of Vern Wicks announces his sudden passing on June 27, 2014. He leaves to mourn his loving spouse Michele Hoey; his daughter Karri (Tony) Robinson and grandchildren Katie and Benjamin; his son Scott Wicks (Robyn); step children: Sean Hoey (Dana) and their daughter Mary; Carrie Hoey and her sons Jade and Madin; Eric Hoey (Kelsey) and their son Kydin; Amanda (Harley ) and their sons Brooks and Dylan; his sister Deloris Moorman; his brothers Glen (Eva) Wicks, Stan (Jolene) Wicks, Norman (Colleen) Wicks and Mervin Wicks; as well as many nieces and nephews. Vern was predeceased by his father Gordon Wicks and mother Laura Wicks; as well as his brothers-in-law Clayton Moorman and Marc Hebert and sister-in-law Lois Wicks. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at Gray’s Funeral Chapel, 575 – 28th Street West, Prince Albert, SK with Reverend Father Remi Hebert officiating. Interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of other tributes memorial donations can be made to the Prince Albert Brain Injury Support Group, PO Box 1483, Prince Albert, SK S6V 5T1 in which Vern was actively involved.
