“TONI” HOULE

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Marie Antoinette “Toni” Houle on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at the Good Shepherd Villa.  Toni is survived by her nephew Paul Tessier; her great-nephew Kasen Tessier; her god-daughter Bernadette Lavoie and numerous cousins.  She was predeceased by her parents Adelard and Florette Houle; her sisters and brothers-in-law Germaine (Martin) Tessier and Irene (Hector) Brunet and numerous relatives.  Toni was born on June 23, 1918.   She taught elementary school for many years in the St. Louis area and St. Paul’s school in Prince Albert, was active in Sacred Heart Cathedral and the community. She loved people and it showed in the way she formed a special bond with many of her students.  Besides her teaching career, she devoted many years caring for her parents in their later years. For the past 7 yrs she has resided at the Good Shepherd Villa and always delighted in visits from family and friends.  She felt at home and was always appreciative of the kindness and compassion shown to her by the staff and management.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 16 from Sacred Heart Cathedral, 1401 – 4 Avenue West by Father Travis Myrheim.  Interment will take place in the Garden of Gethsemane, Prince Albert Memorial Gardens.  Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of RIVER PARK MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 306-764-2727, Colette Kadziolka, Funeral Director
