It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Todd Powder, late of Prince Albert, SK on August 19th, 2023, at the age of 64 years. Todd was born in Calgary, AB. Todd moved to Uranium City, SK at a young age, where he remained until he had finished high school; he loved the North. Todd moved to Prince Albert, SK when he was 22, then moved to Thompson, MB where he worked for Inco. Todd later moved to Winnipeg, MB where he worked for WISL for many years. In 2011, Todd made his final move back to Prince Albert, SK where he worked for the grounds crew at Elk Ridge Resort. Todd loved the job at Elk Ridge and the people he worked with. He was always quick to lend a hand to anyone who needed it. Todd’s kindness towards people and animals will be greatly missed.
Todd will be forever missed by his fur-baby Mogwai; his wife Val; her daughters Amanda (Matthias); his grand-dogs Indy and Dory; Jade (Joel); his grandchildren Penny-Layne, Zeppelin, and Osbourne; his son Calvin (Danielle); his grandchildren Liam & Abigail; his siblings Erna, Jo-Anne, Grace, Lorne, Ernest, Darcy, Perry and Lisa; his aunts Marge Frantz, Dorothy (Bill) Gerrits, and his uncle Roderick; as well as his many cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family.
Todd was predeceased by his grandparents Eli and Madeline Powder; his parents Rose and Ernie Kirby; his canine companions Maggie & Snoopy; as well as many aunts, uncles, and extended family.
We would also like to thank Dr. Heather May for going above and beyond for Todd, Doctor Ile-Haynes for always having a story to tell to take your mind off things, and all the staff in Ambulatory Care for making an unbearable situation bearable. Todd would always wonder who would be on duty and was always glad to see them. Their humor and teasing always made things a little easier for him.
No service is to be held as per Todd’s wishes.
