It is with great sadness that the family of Tim announce his sudden passing. Tim is survived by his brother Glen Paskiw of Toronto; Marilyn (Reg) Coles of Yorkton; Jerry Paskiw (Lorrie Isbister) of Prince Albert and Jerry’s daughters Marie Henry, Jayelle Paskiw and Jaslyn Paskiw; James and Angie Paskiw and their sons Cody and Alex Paskiw; Tina Paskiw and her sons Tyson and Taylor Shiels; as well as Tim’s extended children Natasha Franc, Josh Franc, David Franc and Jesse Franc; step-mothers Leona Lundgren and Gail Paskiw.Tim was predeceased by his parents Jerry Paskiw Sr. and Peggy Nicholl. Tim was born in Flin Flon, Manitoba, he then lived in Prince Albert and then moved to the farm in Carlyle, Saskatchewan, with his mother and siblings. Tim enjoyed the farm life with his first ride being a one horsepower Shetland pony that he rode until his legs were dragging on the ground. During the summer months, he would always return to Prince Albert to spend the summers here and at his grandparents cabin in Flin Flon. During his school boy days, he had an affection for firecrackers. It was not uncommon for Tim to travel with an entire suitcase of firecrackers. In fact, this past Easter on a trip with family driving home from Texas, he could hardly wait until he crossed into Wyoming, so he could stock up on two cases of firecrackers. At the end of his high school days, Tim chose the floor covering installation trade for his career choice. Tim had a special gift with flooring installations and was known to be a master installer. This gift of working with his hands and the patience required for the trades was something inherent that his grandfather and namesake Paul Paskiw who was an immigrant carpenter from the Ukraine, passed on to Tim. Tim was also a businessman that allowed him to own whole and in part, carpet stores in Yorkton, Nanaimo, Medicine Hat and Hinton. Tim had an ability to make friends with people wherever he went, his contagious laughter was a trademark of his. Those who had an opportunity to meet him throughout his lifetime of travels would always remember him for his joyous approach to life. A couple of Tim’s passions were his music, it was not uncommon to see a complete set of drums set up in his kitchen to replace the kitchen table. Another passion of his was his love for Harley Davidson motorcycles. Throughout his lifetime Tim had owned in excess of a dozen Harley’s. He loved the feel of the wind in his face as he rode and the great free spirit feeling that riding gave him. During the past couple of years, Tim built a tribute Harley in memory of his mother and father whose names were airbrushed into the incredible paint scheme. Tim had a zest for life and adventure. His life’s path allowed him to travel all over North America and in recent years, he discovered Latin America including the Dominican Republic, Manzanillo, Mexico and Costa Rica. The past two years Tim spent most of his time in Costa Rica finding friendship and love. He was planning to ship one of his bikes to Costa Rica for the winter. Tim was a member of a fraternity of fellowship with his twelve step family, this special group of people had an impact on his life that gave him inner strength throughout the years. Tim, get your motor running, head out on the highway! As in the words that came so easy from Tim’s mouth, we give them back to you, “We love you, Bro!” The family would like to thank all those who took the time out of their busy lives to attend Tim’s celebration of life held this past Saturday. Special thanks go out to the professionals at Gray’s Funeral Chapel and Reverend Rick Martin. The on-line version of the funeral service can be seen at www.grays.ca
