Thomas Edward Bird, age 63, passed away on Monday, August 14, 2017 in Saskatoon, SK. He was born Friday, April 16, 1954 in La Ronge, SK. Wake Services will be held at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 16, continuing on Thursday, August 17 at Kitsaki Hall, La Ronge. His Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 18 at Kitsaki Hall, La Ronge. Officiants are Tom Sanderson and Edna Mirasty. Tommy is survived by his loving family: his wife Leona (nee Janvier) Bird; his son Thomas Bird Jr; his step sons Marvin Janvier & Rodney Janvier; his daughter Coreese “Chicky” Krieg; his grandchildren Braedon, Thane, Jace, Brielle; his step grandchildren Carly, Drae, Nathe, Megan & Amy; his father Noah Bird; his brothers Charlie Bird & Sam Bird; his sisters Rose (Bill) Lundgren & Susie Bird (Ken Samoleski); his aunts Margaret McKenzie & Amelia Sanderson; his sister-in-law Pauline (Elmer) Fontaine; his brothers-in-law Alfred Janvier, Jacob & Alice Janvier; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins & friends.  He was predeceased by: his mother Maggie Elsie (nee McKenzie) Bird; his grandson Matthew Kyle Herman; his sisters Angie McDonald & Sarah Bird; his brothers Roger, Walter & Gordon (in infancy); his step daughter Alvena Janvier; his niece Fay Janvier; his grandparents Walter & Annie (nee Sanderson) Bird, Edward & Sarah (nee Roberts) McKenzie; his aunts & uncles Hannah Charles, Janet Fietz, Sandy Venne, Ernest McKenzie, Solomon McKenzie, Jimmy McKenzie, Gary McKenzie, Senator Miles & Mary Venne, George Venne, Edgar Venne, Angelique Halkett, Richard McKenzie, Moses & Mary Bird; his sisters-in-law Blandine Janvier, Celine (Mark) Herman; numerous other relatives. Interment took place at the Anglican Church Cemetery in La Ronge.
