Therese Vallee
Thérèse Vallée (née Poilièvre) passed away in the Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert on Thursday, February 9, 2012 at the age of 89 years. Thérèse was born on February 28, 1922 in Prud’homme, SK. She is survived by: her sister-in-law Florence Keroak and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by: her husband Emile; her parents Joseph and Eugenie Poilièvre; one sister Maria (Adelard) Jeanneau; four brothers Joe (Marie Jeanne), Paul (Zella), Deo (Alice), Ralph (Jesse); brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Juliette (Clifford) Howes, Robert (Yvonne) Vallee, Joe Keroak, Joseph Vallée and Antoine Vallée. Thérèse taught in Leoville and the Domremy district. In 1946 she married Emile Vallee and together they farmed for 30 years in the Domremy area. They then lived in La Ronge, Wakaw and Prince Albert. With Emile she enjoyed many fishing trips and travelling throughout Canada and USA. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 14 from Sacred Heart Cathedral, 1401 – 4 Avenue West by Father André Poilievre. Interment will take place in the Garden of Gethsemane, Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. It is the family’s request that those wishing to place memorials may do so to the CNIB.
