Theresa Craddock (Letourneau) of Saskatoon passed away on Saturday, August 16th, 2014, at St. Ann’s Nursing Home at the age of 89. Theresa was predeceased by her husband David and her daughter, Joan Eaton. She is survived by her children Noel, Cathy Dallin (Les), Susan, Sheila Patterson (John), Patricia “Rusty” (Murray Lamon), Nancy (Tim Devlin), Jennifer (Hans Van Norren), ten grandchildren, three great grandchildren, her sister, Eileen MacLean, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Theresa was born October 15, 1924 near Rosetown, Saskatchewan where she grew on the family farm as one of eleven children. Theresa attended business college and began her career working for Bowman Brothers. She enjoyed time spent with her brothers, sisters, cousins and extended family at the farm and on their evenings out in Rosetown and Crystal Beach.
In June 1947 Theresa married David Craddock in Rosetown. Their first child, Joan, was born in 1948 and their family life began. Theresa raised their growing family in Saskatoon and Prince Albert, returning to Saskatoon in later years. Theresa enjoyed living in Prince Albert where she was active in her church, St. Joseph's Parish, enjoyed many years in her bridge club and was involved in her children’s school activities. She treasured her relaxation time at the cabin at Sunnyside Beach, Emma Lake, enjoying the company of neighbors and friends on 8th Street.
In later years when Theresa and David moved to Saskatoon, she was an avid gardener growing beautiful flowers and always an abundant vegetable garden. She enjoyed entertaining, whether cooking a turkey dinner in July complete with garden produce, playing games around the dining room table or an evening out at Persephone Theatre.
Theresa also loved to travel. She was never hesitant about heading off to visit family in Indonesia, Vietnam, England and Wales. There were also many road trips she and David shared over the years on their own and with family and friends.
The family would like to thank the staff at St. Ann’s Nursing Home for the loving care provided to Theresa.
