It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Terry Daniels, late of Sturgeon Lake, SK on March 4^th, 2026, at the age of 73 years. Terry was born on January 19^th, 1953, in Sturgeon Lake, SK to Frank and Gladys Daniels. Terry will be lovingly remembered by the mother of his children Tina Benson; their children Jason (Rachel) Daniels, Kelly (Reanna) Daniels, Darwin (Michelle) Daniels, Trina Daniels, Tara Daniels; the mother of his children Bernadine Pahtayken; their children Kiara Pahtayken, Tanisha (Pav) Pahtayken; his adopted children Elmer Ballantyne, Darren Turner, & George Yellowman; his brother Edward Daniels; his adopted sisters & brothers Corrine Eyaphaise, Florence Nayneecassum, Melinda Daniels, Lorna (Eugene) Arcand, Cecil, Malcohm, Clayton, Orville Daniels, Ralph Gardipy, Eric Tootoosis, Howard (Gail) Halkett; as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Terry was predeceased by his granddaughter Shanna Daniels Bear; his parents Frank & Gladys Daniels; his adopted parents Ernest Joe “Pohta” & Mary Jane Daniels; his special aunt Girllen Stella (Albert) Paintednose; his sisters Della (In infancy) Janet Gamble, Helen Moosomin, Gloria Ahenakew, Pauline, Myrna Daniels; his brothers Kenneth Daniels, Victor Daniels, Henry, Nolan, Vern, Richard, John James Daniels, William Stone, Freddy Spyglass; his niece Melanie Daniels Dolby; his nephews Georgie Daniels, Corey Ahenakew, Ben Ahenakew, & Lyle Ballantyne; his grandparents George & Mary Ermine, Bennett Charles (maternal), Joe Duquette (Louise Pahpewyen), Edward & Emma (nee Swiftbear) Daniels (paternal); his grandmother (parental) Susan Daniels. A Wake Service will be held Thursday, March 5th, & Friday March 6th at 3 PM at the Sturgeon Lake Community Centre in Sturgeon Lake First Nation, SK. The Funeral Service will take place Saturday, March 7th, 2026, at 11 AM at the Sturgeon Lake Community Centre in Sturgeon Lake First Nation, SK. The Officiant will be Elder Eldon Bear. The Interment will take place at West Central Cemetery. The Honourary Pallbearers are Cecil Daniels, Lux Benson Sr., Norman Rabbitskin, Mike Daniels, Willie Ermine, Henry Felix, AJ Felix, Jerry Saddleback, George Saddleback, Eldon Bear, Adrien Whitford, Robert Whitecap, Ron Lameman, Bob Hoflick, Dennis Gamble, Burton Ahenakew, Jumbo Paintednose and all those who knew and loved Terry, all his ceremonial relatives & friends. Family would like to send a special mention to all staff and students at Sturgeon Lake Central School for over 50 years of service.
