With broken hearts, the family of Terrance “Terry” Mirasty announces his peaceful passing on May 24, 2025. Terry was born on November 18, 1962, in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, at Holy Family Hospital. He attended Riverside School and graduated from Carlton High School, later pursuing Business Administration. Terry dedicated his professional life to management as a lender to Indigenous entrepreneurs pursuing business opportunities, until his retirement in 2012. He then started his retirement life which consisted of staying home, relaxing, cutting grass, and doing yard work. It didn’t take long before Terry found himself getting so bored of retirement life that he began working for Aallcann (Domar)in forestry. A job he enjoyed until his passing.
Terry loved and cherished his family unconditionally. He was a loving husband to his wife of 44 years and an adoring father to his three children. He was proud of his two granddaughters, who were the light of his life.
Terry was an avid golf lover and was a self-proclaimed master of the game, but family and friends knew better and could testify that he spent most of his time in the trees or water.
He loved watching his shows and movies and relaxing at home with family, surrounded by the loves of his life, his beautiful family. He took great pride in watching his children grow and was so very proud of them all. He would often say “we are truly blessed to have children who have become independent, successful, intelligent adults”. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, generosity and love.
He is survived by his loving wife, Terry; sons, Travis and Troy; his daughter, Tamara (Ethan), and granddaughters Jayla and Janaya. He is also mourned by his mother-in-law, Cecile (Mike)Romanchuk; sister, Cora Mirasty (Art); brothers, Dwight and Roger Mirasty (Barb); and brothers-in-law, Dale (Nicole Romanchuk), Billy (Sandy), and Darryl Romanchuk. Terry was predeceased by his mother, Violet Mirasty, who passed on June 30, 2024. He will be remembered as a kind, and loving person who found joy in the simple things in life, cherishing the moments and life he and his family built together.
Rest in peace, my love, my dad, my grandpa, my brother, my uncle, my cousin, my son-in-law, my friend. You will be forever missed.
