With sadness filling their hearts, the family of Susan Isabel Denton announce her passing on February 14, 2016 at the age of 85 years. Susan was born to Robert and Lena Scaife on July 17, 1930 in Paddockwood, SK. She was raised in the Forest Gate area and went to school in Paddockwood. She met Frederick Jordan Denton, the love of her life, at a dance at Sunnyside Beach at Emma Lake. They were married in Paddockwood on October 29, 1951. They moved to Shellbrook and raised four children; Stephen, Lena, Garry and Lee. Isabel spent many years at Jordan’s side working at the Shellbrook Curling Rink, as well as working hard on the farm. She took great pride in her garden and many times had to chase the kids out of her garden. Sadly one month after moving back into town she lost Jordan. She spent the remainder of her years doting on her grandchildren, knitting, crocheting, quilting and needlepoint. If she wasn’t busy doing all of these things she spent hours doing puzzles. Susan was predeceased by her husband Frederick Jordan; her parents Robert and Lena; an infant sister Catherine; an infant daughter Helen; her brother Eddie; her sister Helen; her granddaughter Geanine; and her great granddaughters Jessica and Ashley. She is survived by her brother Tommy (Irene) Scaife; her children Stephen (Elsie) Denton, Lena (Wayne) Gitzel, Garry Denton, and Lee (Janie) Denton, as well as grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
