Sue Wong, late of Prince Albert, SK, passed away on September 30, 2015 in Prince Albert, SK at the age of 91 years. Sue was born in China on July 21, 1924. She married Wie Wong in China in 1948 when Wie had returned from Canada to retire. They had been introduced to each other by Frank Wong, Sue’s cousin. Wie then returned to Canada prior to Communist rule, leaving Sue and their son Wayne in China. In 1954, Sue and Wayne immigrated to Canada to join Wie and become a family in White Fox, SK. They were operating the restaurant in White Fox when Wie passed away in 1973. Sue operated the restaurant by herself until 1976, when she joined Wayne in Prince Albert. Sue worked at the Dragon Restaurant, PO Cafe and Deluxe Cafe until her retirement. After retiring she enjoyed gardening and visiting friends and neighbours in Prince Albert. Wayne and Sue enjoyed numerous trips to Winnipeg and Vancouver to visit friends. Sue will be lovingly remembered by her son: Wayne of Prince Albert, SK and numerous nieces and nephews in China. Sue was predeceased by her husband Wie Wong; and her step-son and daughter-in-law in China. A Funeral Service for Sue will be held on Monday, October 5, 2015 – 1:30 pm, MacKenzie Chapel, 130 9th Street East, Prince Albert, SK. Interment to follow in South Hill Cemetery.
