It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Stevie Edward Sayazie, late of Black Lake, SK on April 6^th, 2026, at the age of 32 years. Stevie was born in Prince Albert, SK on January 3^rd, 1994, to Freda Opeikokew and Billy. Stevie will be lovingly remembered by his common-law partner Katelin Bendoni; his mom Freda Opeikokew (Harry); his father Billy Throassie (Sharon); his siblings Rai Sayazie, Steel, Raylene, Billy, Shawna & Collin Renie, Shawnia, Shantelle, Shanelle, Sharina, & Sharona; his mother-in-law Rita Bendoni; his brother-in-law Dale Bendoni; his stepbrother Domenic Opeikokew; his aunties & uncles Mary Jane (James), Linda (Jean), Brenda, Billy Joe (Ruby), Billy John, Bertha, Agnes, Mary Ann, Jacob, Helen, Laurent, Freddie (Helen), Alphonse (Elaine), Janet, Georgina (Rob), Archie (Jenifer), Dora (Billy Joe), Elizabeth (Eddie) Doris (Barry), & Evelyn; his godchild Azden Campbell; his best friends Logan, Hunter, Bow, Jordie, Collin, Jessie, Delvin MacDonald, Dene Man, Casey, Jamie, Conner, Patrick, Billy Joe, Gilley, Sage, Desmond, & Brody. Stevie was predeceased by his grandfathers Philip Sayazie & Charlie Throassie; his grandmother Mary Anne Throassie; his great-grandparents Martin & Ann Sayazie; his great-great-grandparents John & Agnes Alphonse; his uncles William John Throassie, Albert Throassie, Ronald Throassie; his cousins Melvin Medal, Steven Throassie, Gadian Throassie, Janay Throassie, & Andrew Moise; his great aunties Helen Disain, Therese Campbell, & Celine Sayazie; his great uncles Horace Sayazie, & Pierre Alphonse; his godmother Christine Throassie; as well as numerous families, friends, cousins from Black Lake, Lac Brochet, Tadule Lake, Wollaston Lake, Patuanak, & Canoe Lake. The Wake Service will be commencing on Friday April 10, 2026, at the residence of Katelin Bendoni in Black Lake, SK. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday April 13, 2026, at 2 PM at Our Lady of the Cape Roman Catholic Church in Black Lake, SK. The Interment will take place at the Black Lake Cemetery in Black Lake, SK. The Officiant will be Father Joji.
