Stanley M. Sinclair was born on September 2, 1943 in Kinistino, SK, the youngest son of Fred and Clara Sinclair. Stan passed away on August 7, 2012 at the Melfort Hospital.
Stan grew up on a farm NW of Meskanaw and was very active (farm chores, school, and any sports available). He married Lonnie Isberg on February 8, 1964 and together they raised 3 great children Terry, Lisa and David. He taught school in Kinistino for thirty years before retiring. He always said Kinistino was the best place to teach because of the great students, parents, teachers and board members. He also did some farming on the side. The family lived in Kinistino for some years but soon moved to an acreage in the Crescent Hill area near the farm, and had some great neighbors and friends. He played a lot of fastball with the Viking Monarchs and his final year with the Melfort 222’s. That year the 222’s played in a Prince Albert Leaque, and Stan won the Batting Championship and Rookie of the Year Award. He felt it was time to spend more time with the family. Stan loved nature, the cabin at Lower Fishing Lake, fishing, hunting, Kinsmen friends, gardening and his grandchildren.
Stan is survived by children Terry (Darla), Lisa (Carmen) Robertson, and Dave (Jenn), eight wonderful grandchildren Scott, Trista, Maddison and Amanda Sinclair, Carli and Cody Robertson, and Leah and Lexi Sinclair. He also leaves to mourn his sister Florence Dertell and family, sister-in-law Vera Sinclair, brothers-in-law Rick (Wendy) Isberg and Darwin (Kathie) Isberg and their families.
Stan was predeceased by his loving wife Lonnie, brother Don and brothers-in-law Harvey Dertell and David Isberg, his parents Fred and Clara Sinclair, and his in laws Elmer and Flo Isberg.
