Stanley was born on July 6 1954 to Cyril and Elsie Mayo in Shell Lake, SK. He married Judith Pitceathly on July 31, 1976 in Shell Lake, SK and moved to the family farm.
Stanley will be remembered for his big smile and kind eyes with a heart of gold he shared with many friends, family and neighbors.
His greatest love in his life was his family, his biggest joy in life were his grandchildren. He loved Music and Hockey and being with his grandchildren.
Stanley took great pride in his work at Mocon construction and his farm.
In younger years Stanley was highly involved in the community from a hockey coach to a Lions member or 4H Leader .
At the end of the day what he did with his life was no small thing. He cultivated a beautiful and strong family.
Our lasting memories of Stan are simple: a hardworking, passionate figure of strength who never waned in his support or love of his family. And who soldiered on even through the times were tough.
So it is with heavy hearts and tears in our eyes that we lay him to rest and say our last goodbye.
A Celebration of Life Service to honour Stanley will be held at 2:00pm, Monday March 13, 2023 in the Shell Lake Lion’s Hall with Ross Helgeton officiating.
