Stanley Chestolowsky

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Stanley Chestolowsky, age 87 of Prince Albert, SK on November 13th, 2005. Stanley was born and raised on a farm in Kalyna, SK. As a young man, he traveled to Toronto, ON, but soon came back to the farm where he raised his family. Later in life, he moved to Prince Albert, SK, where he was employed as a plumber. Prior to retirement he owned and operated Prince Albert’s only pawn shop at the time. During his retirement, he enjoyed helping his family and neighbors, riding his bike, walking, playing crib and cards, and listening to music. Just from his walks, he had gotten to know the neighborhood. All of these things are what kept him in great health until the last year of his life. Stanley leaves to cherish his memory his children Patricia (Ronald) Adamko of Rural Prince Albert, SK, June (Terry) Kudel of Prince Albert, SK, & Lawrence Chestolowsky of Kamloops, BC; his grandchildren Gail Brahniuk (George Delooze) of Prince Albert, SK, Elaine (Patrick) Krawec of Rural Prince Albert, SK, Jeff (Tammy) Adamko of Prince Albert, SK, Leslie Kudel (Darcy Blahut) of Prince Albert, SK, & Justin Kudel of Calgary, AB; his great-grandchildren Ashley, Jamie, Jason, Chelsie, Chantal, Tara, & Cody; his one brother and three sisters Steve (Elsie) Chestolowsky of Saskatoon, SK, Ann Knox of Aurora, ON, Sophie Kawchuk of Saskatoon, SK, & Helen Attenborough of Prince Albert, SK; his sisters-in-law Mary Chestolowsky, & Rose Chestley; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Stanley was predeceased by his three children Donald, Margaret, and Richard; his parents Bartholomew and Anne (nee Lisnowski) Chestolowsky; his brothers Ted, Joe, Mike, Frank, & John; his sisters Josephine Chestolowsky, and Mary Zelensky; his brothers-in-law Lawrence Zelensky, Bill Strohan, John Kawchuk, & Moss Knox; his sisters-in-law Ann Chestley, and Janet Chestolowsky. A Memorial Service was held on Friday, November 18th, 2005 at 10 AM at MacKenzie Funeral Home. In lieu of other memorial donations, the family asks that donations be made in Stanley’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of the donor’s choice. The Interment took place at Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. Arrangements in care of MacKenzie Funeral Home, Brian Stobbs, Harry Matwishyn, Bev Stobbs, and Marianne Kowalchuk Funeral Directors.
