It is with heavy hearts we share the loss of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Shirley Therese Piché, who went to her Lord and Saviour on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at the age of 79 years.

Shirley was born to Marguerite and Azarie Villeneuve on Thursday, August 14, 1941. She grew up in Prince Albert, SK, where she met and married Ernest Piché, and together they raised their seven children. Shirley enjoyed spending time with her family, making puzzles, cooking and in past years playing bingo and casino. Throughout her life she made many friends whether she wanted to or not. She cherished all of her friendships. She was always a gracious hostess and there was always room for one more at her table.

She will be dearly missed and remembered by her children, Denise (Hubert) Gareau, Sharon Kanigan, Melvin (Karen) Piché, Paul (Dodie) Piché, Warren (Corrie) Piché, and Duane (Ally) Piché; missed by her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her sisters, Carol (Dave) Archibald, Margaret Ferchuk; her brothers, Lucien (Mildred) Villeneuve, Jim Villeneuve, Jerry (Rita) Villeneuve, Maurice (Carol) Villeneuve; her sisters-in-law, Colleen Villeneuve, Joyce Villeneuve, and Carrie Irving; along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Shirley was predeceased by her husband, Ernest Piché; her son, Wayne Piché; her grandson, Matthew Kanigan; her parents, Marguerite and Azarie Villeneuve; her mother and father-in-law, Mary and George Piché; her brothers, Alex Villeneuve, Leslie Villeneuve, Jay Villeneuve and Gregory Villeneuve (in infancy); her sisters-in-law, Catherine Robin, Evelyn Piché, and Rosella Villeneuve; her brothers-in-law, Kost Ferchuk, Marius Piché and Wilfred Piché; and all nieces, nephews and friends who have passed before her.

The family would like to thank everyone who had the opportunity to visit with Mom before her passing and all the staff at Victoria Hospital who cared for her during her last moments. She touched all of our lives with her presence alone and we will cherish the memories.
