There were many family gatherings held at the farm with “Grandma” making huge meals with all of the produce from her huge garden. Shirley also enjoyed working as an SGI agent for 16 1/2 years. Her hobbies were picking berries, and going for walks. She was also a proud member of the Shell Lake Legion where she she spent many hours volunteering her time and her favorite event was the Strawberry Tea. A few of her more recent pastimes were playing Bingo, exercising her mind and body and doing art. Although she sometimes had a hard time to see the colors she was glad that there was always someone there to guide her.
