Shirley Meier (nee) Bell/Miller was born May 28, 1942 in Smeaton, SK. She lived in Snowden until she married Walter Miller and moved to Quesnel, BC and started a family. After 5 years, they moved back to SK and settled in Nipawin. They had a small corner store for 13 years then Shirley worked at Pineview Lodge for 18 years. In 1998 Shirley married Walter Meier which she had a loving and fulfilling marriage until her passing. Shirley enjoyed sewing, knitting, cooking, gardening and visiting with family and friends. Shirley was predeceased by her son Leroy Miller; her 1st husband Walter Miller and her parents John and Connie Bell. She is survived by her husband Wally Meier; her daughter Yvonne Miller; her daughter Holly Capar (Darryl Gardner) and grandchildren Tanya (Mike) Bridges and family and Jake Capar (Maria Ward); her siblings Myrna Welygan, Ben (Darlene) Bell, Bruce (Dorthey) Bell, Leona (Ray) Miller, Lawrence (Wendy) Bell and many nieces and nephews. Shirley was a kind and loving person who loved her family and friends. She will be missed by all. Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at the Snowden Hall with Pastor Darcy Cust officiating. Interment will be held at a later date.
