Shirley Drury

The family of Shirley Anne Drury is deeply saddened to announce her passing after a brief and courageous battle with cancer. Shirley passed from this world on June 17, 2011 with family by her side at Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert.
Shirley was born on Jan 1, 1926 in Naicam to Herman and Winnifred (nee Kellington) Olds. Shirley was raised on the farm in the Naicam area until 1940 when the family then moved to Pathlow where her father had purchased the hotel. In 1943 Shirley married John Grant Drury of Pathlow. After Grant was discharged from the Navy in 1945 they began farming and raised a family of four children. Grant passed away in March of 2007. They had been married 63 years. Grant and Shirley and their family spent many summers at Candle Lake and winters in Arizona. They also took winter holidays in Hawaii, Florida and Mexico. They eventually made their home in Prince Albert.
Shirley leaves to mourn her passing; son Garry (Dayle) and their children; Kerri (Paul) and Cameron; Tracey and daughter Alexandra, Erin and daughter Evie, Shea and son Braydon. Daughter Eletha (Herbert) Rogers and their children; Curtis (Dana) and Samuel; Kristy (Ken) and Ella. Daughter Linda (Michael) Soulier and their children; Jordan (Avalene) and Mason; Jerrod. Daughter Cheryl (Roger) Leray and their children; Jody (Andy) Emily and Jacob; Kristin (Kyle) and Aiden; Justin (Sara). Sisters Dorothy Kerr, Eleanor Gerwing and Audrey (Mike) Ethier and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband Grant and her parents Herman and Winnifred Olds.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 24, 2011 at Calvary United Church, 114 – 25th Street East, Prince Albert, SK with Reverend Nora Vedress officiating. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 54 – 11th Street East, Prince Albert, SK S6V 0Z9. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gray's Funeral Chapel, Marianne Turcotte, Funeral Director.
