Sandra Lynn Callaghan
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sandra Lynn Callaghan (nee Taggart) on Monday, March 21, 2016. She is survived by her husband, Lloyd Callaghan, her two sons, Thomas James (Nancy) and Christopher (Michelle); 4 grandchildren, Madison, Tanner, Easton and Ashton; siblings Roxane Taggart, Leslie (Doug) Squires, Pat Taylor, Barb Becker, and Brian (Debbie) Taggart; her in-laws, Doug (DeeDee) Callaghan, Donna (Lorne) Tippe, Ken (Mary) Callaghan, Gord (Lainie) Callaghan, Carol (Ken) Blogg, Larry Callaghan, Terry (Kim) Callaghan and Tina(Al) Rowse as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother, Kay Taggart on December 5, 1991; her father, Jim Taggart on December 22, 1991; and her sister, Faye Bollman on December 19, 2015. She was born and raised in Prince Albert, SK where she married and raised her family until 1999 when she and Lloyd moved to Saskatoon. Sandy was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion #2 and a lifetime member of the Royal Canadian Ladies Axillary Branch #2. She spent her time working at various jobs and volunteering within the Legion until she retired in 2006 to spend more time with her family. She loved her family and was always hosting and organizing get-togethers, whether it was Christmas or a Sunday supper or just a picnic at Kinsmen Park complete with a train ride and wiener roast. She made the best cookies, pies and salads in the whole world. She loved to watch her grandchildren play hockey, soccer, baseball, and volleyball and was always the first to brag about their accomplishments. She was their biggest cheerleader. She loved her family so very much. Anyone who had the privilege to know Sandy, learned something from her that they will carry forward in their lives in so many different ways. She was the best of the best and she will be missed by all those who loved and were loved by her. To remember Sandra Lynn, Memorial donations can be made to KidSport Saskatoon, 510 Cynthia Street, Saskatoon, SK S7L 7K7.
