Samuel “Sam” Derringer Marchand November 28, 1943 – October 31, 2014 Sam passed away October 31, 2014 with his family and best friend Ed Grimard by his side. He leaves behind his children, Glen (Eleanor), Nicole (Kevin), Trevor (Levranda), Darren (Evelyn), Lyle, and Sam’s baby girl Melissa (Darren); his fifteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren and another on the way; his two sisters Threasea Grimard and Lillian Bisson; his brother Roy; sisters-in-law Gloria and Ann; two best friends Edger Grimard and Ron Boyer; many nieces and nephews and his godchild Kristal Okemaysim. Sam is gone to be with his family in heaven, his parents, Alfred and Alexandra; his first wife Linda; his sons Lance and Rodney; his twin granddaughters Naomi and Natasha; his second wife Mary; his sisters Marie Caron, Blanche; brothers Clarence, Beverly, Alphonse, Joe and Franklin and numerous brothers-in-law and sister. Family would like to thank the staff on level six at the Victoria Hospital for the compassionate care Sam received while in their care. Prayer Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at Gray’s Funeral Chapel, 575 – 28th Street West, Prince Albert, SK with Margaret Ferchuk officiating. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 7, 20214 at the Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church, Duck Lake, SK with Celebrant Reverend Father Phinh Do. Interment will be held at the Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations can be made to the Canadian Liver Foundation, Suite 309, 1010 – 1 Avenue N. E.
